Coaching Notes
Coach Kirsten has been coaching soccer since 2011. She has been a Head Coach as well as an Assistant Coach in both the recreational and competitive levels. Kirsten played competitive youth soccer on a traveling team, and was also a referee. Playing the Goal Keeper position for many years gave her the tools and knowledge to be able to coach from that perspective. Coach Kirsten strives to bring out the very best in her players with positivity and motivation. She believes that the strength of the team is a combination of a good attitude, skill, and sportsmanship, and wants her players to not only be great athletes, but great individuals. She is very supportive of dual-sport athletes and extra-curricular activities. Coach Kirsten is very active in the community. She is a Board member on the Johnson Ranch Barracuda Swim Team and the Northern California Swim League. She is PTC President, School Site Council Vice-Chair, NCL and DAR member, as well as serving on various committees within the Eureka Union School District.
