Coaching Notes
Frank will be going into his fourth year of coaching for GBFC this season and it will be his second year in competitive soccer. This past season, the 2011 U9 Lighting team competed in NorCal’s bronze division with a majority of the boys playing comp soccer for the first time. Team Lighting did exceptionally well. They started off the season taking 3rd place in the Rocklin tournament. The team continued to improve throughout the season finishing second in the league and ultimately winning the NorCal State Cup in the bronze 3 division.
Frank grew up playing everything but soccer. He was a successful three-sport athlete in high school. He was recently inducted into Trinity High School’s Hall of Fame for football and baseball. His teams won the NSCIF championships in both football and baseball. He was awarded all-state, all-section, all-conference, and MVP his senior season.
Frank is looking forward to another great season with the 2011 U10 team Lightning. He loves watching the boys develop the skills that will help them be successful in life, both on and off the field. His focus on teamwork, goal setting, teaching grit, accountability, and perseverance will help the Lighting team to be successful in the years to come.
