Coaching Notes

Hi, I’m Wade, and I am thrilled to be coaching with Granite Bay FC! Off the pitch, I am the Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A right here in Granite Bay, where I lead a team of 80 to 90 incredible people. My passion is mentorship and leadership development—a mindset that has helped three of my team members go on to own their own franchises or join the corporate staff. I love bringing that same focus on growth, discipline, and teamwork to our players.

My soccer journey began in Arizona, where I won a State Cup Championship. In 1999, I moved to Tennessee, continuing my competitive career as the captain of a State Cup runner-up team. That experience opened the door to a Division 1 college scholarship at Western Kentucky University.

Throughout my career, I’ve truly played every position on the field. Although I was recruited to WKU as a defender, I stepped up to serve as the starting goalkeeper during my freshman year. By my junior and senior years, I moved back out to the field to anchor the defense, serving as team captain for my senior season.

My Coaching Philosophy: Having played everywhere from between the posts to the frontline, I understand the game from every angle. I’m excited to help our players develop their technical skills, understand the game strategically, and grow into strong leaders both on and off the field.
