Coaching Notes
Nicole is a Granite Bay native with a lifelong passion for soccer, having started playing at the age of five. Her playing career includes four years with Cal North ODP and competitive club soccer throughout the Sacramento area. During her high school years, Nicole played for Elk Grove United, sharing the field with U.S. Women’s National Team stars and Olympic Gold Medalists Megan Rapinoe and Stephanie Cox. Their team achieved national acclaim, earning the #1 ranking in the country and capturing the 2003 national title in Washington, D.C.
Nicole continued her soccer journey at the collegiate level, playing Division I soccer at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. She also competed in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for two seasons before a career-ending knee injury shifted her path from player to coach.
Nicole began her coaching career in 2013 with a U14 boys team in Hermosa Beach, where she spent three years developing young athletes. After returning to Granite Bay with her family, she resumed coaching in 2021 when her daughter joined GBFC. Now entering her fifth year with the club, Nicole also serves on the GBFC Board, demonstrating her continued commitment to youth soccer. Outside of coaching, she works in Special Education as a Behavior Analyst for the Roseville Joint Union High School District.
Nicole is passionate about fostering a love for the game in young players while helping them develop strong foundational skills. She emphasizes work ethic, sportsmanship, and teamwork—values that translate on and off the field.
