Coaching Notes

Joe Menendez has been a parent of players who have been in the GBFC since 2015. Joe is very familiar with our football club and has recently jumped from one sideline to the other to take on being a head coach for the Wildfire (2009 Girls). Coach Joe stays true to the Positive Coaching Alliance’s philosophy of Double-Goal Coaching which focuses on competing to win while teaching life-lessons through sports. Joe has experience coaching indoor soccer and serving as an assistant coach for the Wildfire in recent seasons past. Coach Joe is no stranger to competition as he played 11 years of youth soccer with many years of football, baseball, basketball, and being a Dad to highly competitive twin girls. Joe believes in transparency and building a relationship with team parents. In his first full season as head coach he led his team in first place in their division and took his team to the semi-finals of the State Cup.
