Coaching Notes

James is entering his 11^th year coaching at Granite Bay FC, which started in 2013. He began as an assistant coach before becoming a head coach at the recreational level.  He coached the 2005 boys on the competitive side from 2016-2024, coached the Comp In Training (CIT) girls team in 2021, has coached the 2014 competitive girls since in 2022, in addition to coaching the 2015 girls since 2023.  James developed a love for the game at an early age while playing at the rec, select, and high school levels.  Locally, he played at both San Juan and Natomas High School.  In addition to soccer, he also grew up playing baseball and hockey.  He continues to play both soccer and hockey in local adult rec leagues.  As a coach, he emphasizes strong work ethic, teamwork, and a positive attitude while motivating each player to give their maximum effort.  He believes that his player’s development will extend beyond soccer and hopes to create leaders and confident individuals.
