Coaching Notes
Although I don’t hold any traditional soccer coaching certifications or licenses, I am a proud student of the game as well as of coaching and leadership in general. My competitive soccer career culminated in playing at the division 1 NCAA level in West Point, NY where I learned as much about building strong teams as I did about soccer. I’ve coached soccer, basketball, baseball, and skiing since. Am proudest about getting paid to coach skiing for a world class organization on the Sugar Bowl Academy even though I never had traditional skiing training myself.
I’m a firm believer that driving a strong team culture is the most important role of a head coach or any leader. I stand firm in my belief that these kids need to have fun, be good teammates, and work hard. Through those principles we will continue to grow and love the game. Without a love of the game we may not continue. As for soccer or any other team sport I believe in strong fundamentals, keeping possession of the ball, and working together as a team. Everybody scores and everybody plays defense.
